Baby Jackson Update

We are having a girl and so excited. She already has a pink fishing pole to be fishing buddies with daddy :)... The days and weeks are counting down so fast... we are finishing the Nursery this week...

We had another ultrasound yesterday at 29 weeks. Here is a picture of her profile - she is looking to the right of the screen. You can see her little nose and cheeks. She is an active little girl and moving around a lot and has had a very healthy heartbeat at each checkup.
For the side belly shot... here's one from Christmas, when we visited the Curries...

Holidays

In November, I had the opportunity to be in Utah to support my sister, Susan as she went through the LDS Temple for the first time. She is now on her mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints to the Germany, Berlin Mission.

Then, Jim and I met up with our friends Russ and Judy in Hilton Head, SC for Thanksgiving. We took a 1/2 day bike tour around one of the mini-islands that is a nature preserve.
Pretty view...
We saw some dolphins one afternoon from the beach...
Then, for Christmas we drove out to Indiana to spend time with Jim's family. So good to see them again.
Then, on Christmas Day, we drove down to Kentucky for a few hours to see my sister Lisa and her husband Nick and their new little one - Noah. So fun to meet our newest little nephew - what a cutie! Thanks to the Curries for their hospitality to visit and meet Noah.

August Adventures

In August, we took a trip to California to celebrate our 2 year anniversary and then drove up to my family's house for a few days in Oregon.
The San Jose plantation we stayed at our first night.

Fun photo with the night lighting...
Carmel Beach - unfortunately it was rainy and cold, but beautiful.
Monterey Bay Aquarium - there was a cute penguin that would dance up and down in the water for the kids, moving from one kid to the next ... what a showboat :).
Also, we saw the sea otter feeding time...
There was an exhibit called "The Secret Lives of Sea horses" ... Very interesting - especially these ones below...
Then we drove up to Yosemite - what a fabulous park... this is the view from our hotel room..
Bridal Veil Falls - unfortunately, in August the water is really low - so we saw just a trickle... But still beautiful. Would love to go back in the Springtime some year and see all the falls in full force.
More views from within the park.

Then, off to San Francisco - of course a boat tour under the Golden Gate Bridge...
And saw Alcatraz from the boat trip as well..
Also, we took time to go to the Oakland Temple - so beautiful!
Then, my family surprised us with a baby shower, we appreciate them thinking of us and their generosity ... Fun onesie below - says "What happens at Grandma's house stays at Grandma's house"...
Cute diaper cake and diaper animals - jungle theme, like the nursery :)....
Then some fun fishing together, Kathi and her family, Mary and Joey, Susan, Emily and Lisa were at my parents too... Some of my favorite photos from the fishing trip...

Love, love this one... my brother looking cool and still being sweet with our niece...
Then, my sister Emily came to PA for a few days to stay with us... of course a fun motorcycle trip was an inagural event :).
Then some mini golfing... I think we gave up taking score :)...
So fun!! Thanks for coming out Emmy...

Fun with the Jacksons

In June, Jim's Family - his mom and dad and brother's family (Dwayne, Tammy, Garrett, Carter and Eva) - came out for a fun visit. Of course we took them to the key sites in the area, in addition to fun around home. We had so much fun having them out here.

At the original torch for the Statue of Liberty - in the base of the Statue of Liberty.

Of course - some silly fun - as they learn about how the statue was made.
Looking up inside the statue at the structure that holds her up and together
A look at the details from the outside.
Outside the statue.
Carter striking a pose at the Liberty Bell exhibit.
Eva's ponies were part of the adventure at the Liberty Bell too.
Three generations of Jackson - Grandpa, Garrett and Dwayne.
At the Hershey factory tour - Dwayne and Tammy ...
More factory tour fun...
