Christmas Holiday Fun

Hey all,

It's about time we updated our blog :). We'll start with Christmas ;).

We had a wonderful Christmas in Connersville, Indiana with Jim's family. We spent time with Jim's brother and family and Jim's parents. We had fun with the Jackson Family in Indiana for Christmas. Including Uncle Jim making french silk pies from scratch for his nephews and niece because his nephew Carter wanted something chocolate (and the last time we brought dessert it was pineapple upside down cake and pumpkin cookies), who made a worried face look when we told them Uncle Jim made them, and then looked relieved when we said with the help of Aunt Annie of course :).

We had fun celebrating nephew Garrett's and niece Eva's birthday party. Christmas Eve we enjoyed with his parents and Dwayne and Tammy (brother and sister-in-law) and the kids - we had fun exchanging gifts. Christmas Day we went over to Dwayne's and Tammy's house to see what fun Christmas morning brought the kids. Then, we played cards and ate fun snacks for the day with Jim's parents.

A few days after Christmas, our Christmas gift to each other was a fun night away at a great bed and breakfast on the border of Pennsylvania and Jersey - New Hope / Lambertsville . They are cute towns on the river with all sorts of shops, restaurants and art galleries galore! We stayed in a fun B&B with a contempory decor mixed with the 1800s construction of the house. And of course we found a fun coffee shop with fantastic hot chocolate / steamers :).

Then for New Years Eve, we went over to the home of one of our new friends - the Mercado's. They had about 50 people over (mostly from the church) and the kids all did a talent show... our favorite was a kid playing a tuba that was twice his size :).
